LED coil - illuminates during emission

The folding CB antenna PNI LED 850 is the continuation of a new line of CB antennas, designed to make the use of the CB band unique.

The antenna guarantees superior communication performance and improves visibility to the maximum.

The antenna coil is equipped with diodes that emit light when passed through by radio frequency. The coil lights up automatically when the radio is transmitting, thus indicating the correct operation of the equipment.

Antenna length 85 cm

The CB antenna PNI LED 850 with a length of 85 centimeters helps the transmission and reception in the CB band at a distance of up to 10 km (under ideal conditions, without obstacles).

Factors influencing communication distance:
» Antenna length: Longer antennas will have a greater transmit and receive range.
» Mounting location: the higher the antenna is mounted, the better the range.
» Installation quality: Installation mistakes will result in high SWR and limited range.
» Surrounding Terrain: The surrounding terrain plays a huge role in determining range. Obstacles such as buildings or mountainous areas will limit the range.

Possibilities of use

The antenna has the possibility to be mounted either on a PL magnetic base or on a separately purchased fixed support (for example: PNI SPA100 , PNI SPA125 , PNI L21 ).

Test the SWR in an open area using a reflectometer. In some cases it may be necessary to raise or shorten the wire to obtain an optimal SWR value.

For optimal results, we recommend that this procedure, called calibration , be performed by specialized personnel.

Note: PNI antennas are factory calibrated on the 27.225Mhz frequency (channel 22) .
